Grade 7 marks the transition into the Senior Phase, where learners step into a more advanced academic environment that demands focus, discipline, and self-management.

Creative Arts (Visual Arts / Performing Arts) GRD 7

Develops artistic skills in drawing, painting, drama, music, and creative expression. Encourages confidence and imagination.

Life Orientation (CAPS) GRD 7

Focuses on personal development, health, social relationships, decision-making, study skills, and responsible citizenship

Economic Management Sciences (EMS) (CAPS) GRD 7

Introduces accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and the South African economy. Builds early business and money-management skills.

Technology (CAPS) GRD 7

Covers mechanical systems, electrical systems, structures, materials, design process, and basic engineering concepts. Encourages design and problem-solving skills.

 Social Sciences (CAPS) GRD 7

Includes Geography and History.
Learners study maps, environments, human settlement, global issues, ancient civilizations, apartheid, and modern SA history.

Natural Sciences (CAPS) GRD 7

 
Includes Physical Sciences and Life Sciences components.
Learners study matter, energy, chemical reactions, ecosystems, systems in the human body, and Earth sciences

Mathematics (CAPS) GRD 7

Covers algebra, integers, geometry, measurement, graphs, probability, and finance mathematics. Builds problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.

Afrikaans First Additional Language (CAPS) GRD 7

Develops advanced FAL skills including reading, writing, speaking, summaries, and grammar. Prepares learners for high school Afrikaans requirements

English Home Language (CAPS) GRD 7

Enhances reading comprehension, literature study, writing, grammar, and oral presentation skills. Encourages critical and creative thinking in English.
